Coaches already know the picture from browser tools such as the Ice Hockey Systems Drill Maker. RinkPad is not affiliated with that site, with any league, or with any federation. The rink drawing in the app is original.
| Job | Browser drill board | Coaching platform | RinkPad |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where you draw | A webpage | App or web, plus a lot of other product | iPhone and iPad |
| After you leave | Export first, or start over | Usually an account and a cloud library | The drill stays on the device |
| Account | Often required to save | Yes | None |
| What you pay for | Membership for save or extra layouts | Subscription, content packs, club tools | Optional one-time Remove Ads. The ice is free |
| What it is not | A rinkside pad | A one-minute sketch | Rosters, 3D, animation, or an AI that writes the drill |
Use a browser board when
- You are at a desktop and you already pay for that site’s library.
- You want their drill catalog, not a blank sheet.
Use a coaching platform when
- You need rosters, video, practice plans, or a club portal.
- A subscription is worth that whole system.
Use RinkPad when
- You need the picture on the bench or in the locker room.
- You want the file to survive closing the app, without an account.
- You will send a PNG, not publish a season plan.
