Privacy Policy
RinkPad (“we”, “the app”) is an ice-hockey whiteboard. You place players and paths, save drills on your device, and share a picture when you choose to. We do not run user accounts, and we do not upload your drills to our servers.
Summary
- Drills stay on your device.
- We do not sell your diagrams.
- We do not require an account.
- The free app shows Google ads (an app-open ad on a cold start, and a banner in the tool palette). Those ads are not drawn on the ice.
- Remove Ads is a one-time Apple purchase. Apple processes the payment.
Data stored on your device
- Diagrams: tokens, paths, titles, folders, tags, and notes, as files in the app sandbox
- Whether Remove Ads is owned, as reported by Apple’s StoreKit on that device
Uninstalling the app removes that local data, subject to how iOS handles app deletion. We cannot restore drills from our side because we never received them.
Sharing a PNG
When you use the iOS share sheet, the picture goes to the app or person you pick (Messages, Mail, AirDrop, and so on). We do not receive that file.
Advertising
The free app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to show an app-open ad when you cold-start the app, and a banner while the tool palette is expanded. If you buy Remove Ads, those placements are turned off.
Ads are requested as non-personalized. The app does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt, so it does not ask for permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
To serve and measure an ad, Google may process technical data such as IP address, device type, app identifier, coarse location derived from the request, and whether you interacted with the ad. That processing is described in Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
This website publishes app-ads.txt so ad platforms can confirm that our AdMob account is allowed to sell ads in RinkPad. That file is a public seller list. It does not contain drill data.
Purchases
Remove Ads is billed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not receive your card number. We learn that the purchase is entitled on the device through StoreKit. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
This website
www.chwistek.net hosts this site. It does not set analytics cookies and it does not run a waitlist form. If you email [email protected], we use that message to answer you.
Children
RinkPad is a tool for coaches. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A coach may show a diagram to players; that picture stays under the coach’s control on their device or in whatever share they choose.
International users
We do not hold your diagrams, so a request to access or delete diagram content held by us does not apply to those files — they are on your device. You can delete drills in the app or delete the app. For advertising data Google holds, use Google’s own tools linked from their privacy policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
